Spanish Books About Dinosaurs

Este no es mi dinosaurio by Usborne

For your youngest dinosaur lovers, this touchy-feely board book still even delights my preschooler! With bright colors and different textures, children have hands-on learning with various descriptive words. This is great for babies and toddlers as they explore their surroundings through touch.

Each page spread has a simple and formulaic sentence following a pattern. That makes it a great early reader for preschool and early elementary children, as they learn basic sight words and have repeated practice recognizing them. I love that this book has grown with my daughter!

Gran libro ilustrado: Dinosaurios by Laura Cowen

Older learners will appreciate this highly informative picture book of dinosaurs. From dinosaur names to habitats to diets to behaviors, this book is packed with dinosaurs of all types and when and how they lived.

While the book contains mostly dinosaurs, there is also some information about other animals that lived during the same time. It really helps give a more complete understanding of what life was like for the dinosaurs!

El discurso sobre dinosaurios de Haddie y Lulú

Featuring five different types of dinosaurs, this fun story teaches not only dinosaur names and qualities. I appreciate this story for my daughter to learn both self-confidence as well as ways to be a supportive friend. Lulu needs to give a presentation about dinosaurs and is nervous, but her friend Haddie encourages and supports her. They practice for the presentation together, and Lulu gains confidence in her knowledge.

And with all Habbi Habbi products, every part of the book is tappable with the read-aloud wand! We enjoy tapping each number on the dinosaur to learn different facts in both Spanish and English on bilingual mode. It helps me learn more specialized vocabulary as well so that I can use more Spanish around a topic of interest for my daughter.

Spanish Songs About Dinosaurs

  • Somos los Dinosaurios - The Laurie Berkner Band
This is a Spanish version of The Laurie Berkner Band’s original classic, “We Are the Dinosaurs”. Your family can all become dinosaurs as they stomp, eat, and take a nap. It’s a song that we always enjoy getting up and marching around as we re-enact all the different dinosaur actions!

  • Diez Pequeños Dinosaurios - Super Simple Español
This cute counting song teaches young children early counting skills alongside dinosaur names! It includes five different dinosaurs, and names each dinosaur before starting in on the song. Since it repeats each time for each dinosaur, your family can listen a few times and then feel confident jumping in to sing along.

  • Diez Pequeños Dinosaurios 2 - Super Simple Español
If you’re looking for even more dinosaurs to count, there’s a second version of the previous song with five different dinosaurs. This version includes a few less common dinosaurs, so my family enjoyed learning the names of new dinosaurs as we counted along. We also took it as an opportunity to create our own version of this song with other dinosaur names!

  • Las Mejores Canciones de Dinosaurios - Pinkfong compilation
For a full 30 minutes of fun songs, check out this compilation of Pinkfong songs! It includes songs about different dinosaurs with facts, a baby dinosaur version of the classic “baby shark”, and even a dinosaur ABC song with a dinosaur for each letter. Our personal favorite is the dinosaur alphabet!

  • Free Printable - Draw and Match the Dinosaurs
Work on writing in both English and Spanish with Habbi Habbi’s printable. Color each dinosaur and then match them to their name. This printable features the dinosaurs in Haddie & Lulu’s Dinosaur Dissertation. We enjoyed having the printable out alongside our book and talking about each dinosaur as we learned from the story!
